YogaBugs & CWW Mind partner to inspire creativity, emotional awareness, and wellbeing in schools
At a time when children are facing increasing pressures both in and outside the classroom, supporting their emotional wellbeing has never been more important. That’s why YogaBugs have teamed up with Coventry, Warwickshire & Worcestershire Mind (CWW Mind) to launch an inspiring art competition called “Draw Your Feelings”—a project designed to help children explore their emotions in a fun, creative, and meaningful way.
This exciting initiative is open to all primary schools, with a chance to win a fantastic prize while also supporting the vital work of CWW Mind.

🌟 What’s the Competition About?
The “Draw Your Feelings” competition invites children to express their emotions through art. Using a structured, age-appropriate lesson plan, pupils will be guided to reflect on their feelings, capture them on paper, and share their work with others.
This isn’t just about art—it’s about emotional literacy, self-expression, and wellbeing. By giving children the tools to notice, name, draw, and share their emotions, schools can help them build resilience and confidence, as well as empathy for their peers.
📚 The FREE Lesson Plan: “NOTICE–NAME–DRAW–SHARE”
To support schools, YogaBugs are providing a completely FREE 30–45 minute lesson plan titled “NOTICE–NAME–DRAW–SHARE”. This resource is carefully designed to be:
- Age-appropriate – suitable for pupils across the primary years.
- Engaging – combining discussion, creativity, and reflection.
- Curriculum-linked – perfectly aligned with the PSHE curriculum, covering key areas such as health & wellbeing, relationships, and emotional awareness.
Through this session, children will:
- Notice how they are feeling.
- Name the emotion.
- Draw their feelings creatively.
- Share their work with classmates.
Not only does this lesson encourage self-awareness, it also fosters a classroom culture of openness and respect—skills that last far beyond the competition.
💚 Why Schools Should Get Involved
Here’s why this project is a wonderful opportunity for schools:
- ✅ Supports PSHE and wellbeing goals – helps children recognise, articulate, and manage their emotions.
- ✅ Creative & fun – engages pupils in art while encouraging deep self-reflection.
- ✅ Simple to deliver – ready-to-use lesson plan makes it easy for teachers.
- ✅ Part of something bigger – connects your school to a national initiative tied to World Mental Health Day.
- ✅ Fantastic prize on offer – one lucky school will win a one-year licence to YogaBugs’ online wellbeing platform, worth £2,500!
And perhaps most importantly—your school’s involvement will directly support the ongoing work of CWW Mind, helping more people in the community access mental health support.
